We offer our DoD customers classified and unclassified technical services including: • Information Assurance • eLearning and Interactive Media • Technical Services POSITION DESCRIPTION: ENGINEERING MANAGER/TECHNICAL LEAD This candidate will manage a software engineering team within Referentia’s C4I Systems and Advanced Technology Solutions business areas. Duties: • Directs the activities of team of up to 10 engineers in the design, development, integration and testing of software using industry best practices. Continually looks for ways of improving development processes. • Performs project management according to organization’s processes and procedures. Tasks include project scheduling, tracking, risk management and regular project status reporting. Balance aggressive project commitments while maintaining quality standards. • Provides leadership managing the technical aspects of project. Ensure requirements are accurately implemented and verified. Contributes to the creation of design documentation, and the development and implementation of the technical solutions. • People Management which includes hiring, training, and motivating. Performs regular performance reviews and provides ongoing career mentoring and guidance. Qualifications: • BSCS/EE with at least 5 years of software development experience. At least 2 years of software management experience. • The ideal candidate is an individual who has repeatedly successfully delivered software projects on aggressive schedules. • Experience with agile/iterative development processes (RUP, XP, Scrum) preferred. • Strong knowledge in OOD/OOP; proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C++. • Prefer an individual who has a strong technical leadership background and who will be able to run design and code reviews and assist in providing architectural direction.
