* Performs audit work which includes, but is not limited to: Planning audits/reviews by determining the audit objectives, scope and appropriate testing methodology; documenting business processes and related internal controls; and preparing audit programs. * Conducting audits/reviews to identify and define internal control weaknesses, operational and financial inefficiencies and areas of risks, or verify compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations. * Performing special projects or other duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Audit. This may include performing or assist in data extraction and data analysis routines, as well as assisting on external and internal fraud investigations, where necessary. * Preparing concise and well-organized working papers that document the work performed and conclusions reached. * Identifying potential risks or inefficiencies, and developing recommendations for improvement. * Preparing written reports that summarize the audit results and recommendations for improvement. In addition, communicates or assists in communicating results and recommendations to all levels of management. * Ensuring that projects and tasks are completed timely. * Representing the Corporate Audit Department on Company project teams. * Manages day-to-day tasks; reports on the status of projects; and ensures projects and tasks are completed successfully and before established deadlines. Requirements: • A bachelor’s degree in business and professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Corporate Auditor (CIA) or equivalent measure of expertise preferred. • A minimum three years airline audit experience preferred. Knowledge of and experience in evaluating processes and internal controls, planning and performing reviews of organizational and functional activities, negotiating issues and resolving problems. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations. • Excellent project management and time management skills. Must be able to work on multiple tasks and meet multiple concurrent deadlines. • Ability to work independently or as a part of a collaborative team while maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, management and external contacts. • Ability to extract and analyze large volumes of data, including scripting of extraction routines. • Ability to remain independent, unbiased and neutral. • Advanced computer skills and ability to proficiently use of word processing, spreadsheet and other end-user applications to prepare reports, memos, summaries and analyses. • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of time, both domestically and internationally.
