Description: We have an immediate opening for a talented Operations/Business Development Manager to help grow and diversify our professional services business with the Air Force, Army, Navy and other government organizations in Hawaii and the Pacific Region and to manage our Hawaii Operation. Work closely with our Business Group leader and our Pacific area Program Lead to develop new lines of business and aggressively market new work in existing lines of business including: Facilities, Environmental and Logistics management. Use your Operations experience to collaborate with Contracting, Finance, Accounting and Human Resources on a daily basis on contract, project, and business related issues. Contribute to Bid/No Bid decisions and proposal efforts for targeted opportunities and coordinate proposed actions with Program Operations to help ensure fulfillment of promises made within the proposal. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering, construction management or architecture. A professional license is a plus! Successful track record of marketing new work in existing and new lines of business: A/E Services for Facilities, Environmental and Logistics management and a history of long-term, positive relationships, with US Government clients and understanding of the Federal Government budgeting process. Minimum 6-8 years in operations management in a military environment (Navy, Air Force or Army MILCON experience is a specific plus). Successful track record of creating and managing a credible business development pipeline, identifying business opportunities early on (Pre-RFP), developing and executing effective teaming partnerships and alliances and implementing winning capture strategies. Prior experience (military, contractor or civil service) with the Department of Defense, particularly with installation public works / engineering, environmental and/or logistics management preferred, and experience with NAVFAC Strongly Desired. Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and related procurement regulations. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under minimal supervision. Current Hawaii area resident is a must. Dedicated relationship manager with current, active contacts in the Pacific Region; “Hunter” style business development skills strongly preferred!
