Senior Mechanical Engineer (Candidate must be able to interview in person in Hawaii) Large Consulting firm in Honolulu has an immediate opening for an experienced Mechanical Energy Engineer. This person oversee and supervise the engineering team on energy studies, consulting engagements, system design, and project development. Responsibilities include: Technical studies to evaluate and assess energy conservation measures for commercial and industrial properties, research and evaluate energy-efficient technologies for building systems, develop design specifications, cost estimates and proposals for capital improvement projects and provide direction and supervision to project managers on energy projects and systems. Candidates must have min 5 years experience as a Mechanical/Energy Engineer on HVAC / Refrigeration design and/or construction, and have good analytical, supervisory, and communication skills, and must have thorough knowledge of energy standards, practices and conservation regulations, such as CA Code of Regulations, Title 24. Proficiency in all MS Office applications is required. BS in Mechanical Engineering, strong Electrical Controls skills and experience with building HVAC and electrical systems are required.
