GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assisting Patients/Family Members, Visitors, Vendors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Welcome every customer who comes to the clinic by opening doors, as well as anticipating the provision/return of wheelchairs as needed. • Direct people to OH, Quest, offices upstairs or to the MPFC Reception desks. • Greeter will be the warm and friendly ambassador, who helps make MPFC a welcoming and comfortable clinic for each patient and visitor to feel at ease. • Welcome and assist all patients, visitors and vendors upon their arrival in a pleasant, professional and timely manner. Serves as a main resource for patients and visitors, assisting with directions as needed by routing appropriately throughout the building. Informs appropriate department/person of person’s arrival. • Offer assistance with information regarding general questions regarding Medical Park Family Care, including assisting patients and families with requests for information as well as community services as appropriate. Relays necessary messages to staff. • Expedites flow of patients through clinic appointment to improve patient flow and satisfaction. Monitors patient waiting time and reports results/problems to the Front Desk Supervisor. Oversees waiting area, assists with patient movement, reporting problems or irregularities. • Models and ensures customer service and professional practice standards are met or exceeded. • Participates in collecting patient satisfaction data and communicating that data to appropriate personnel for service improvement. • Monitor waiting areas. Keep lobbies and patient waiting areas neat and tidy-this includes picking up garbage and straightening up lobby areas. • Attends mandatory staff meetings and MPFC trainings as required and adheres to confidentiality and HIPPA regulations. • Assist front desk by filling in as needed. This includes covering a station and the flexibility of working various schedules. • Entering new and existing patient demographic data with high attention to detail. Checking patients in and out this includes collecting co-pays according to insurance types and issuing receipts. Responsible for processing and balancing a station for daily close. EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: • High school graduation and must be 18 years or older. EXPERIENCE: • 3 years of working with the public in a customer service setting with a minimum of 1 year in a medical facility preferred.
