Looking for long-term person interested in helping us out on our farmstead. Our place is a few miles from town and we're looking for a PT /FT Caretaker/Handyperson/Pet- Sitter. Separate small guest cottage with sleeping loft;(no electricity) shared kitchen, bathroom and optional organic meals with main house. Ideal candidate has organic gardening knowledge, a way and experience with animals/livestock, is handy at fixing things and proactive with problem solving, is excited about living simply and in community, open, honest, a good communicator and has a healthy work ethic. Unfortunately we have no room for more animals, nor are we open to smokers, any addictions, drama or TV. Looking for someone available to be on the property Mon-Friday, with occasional long weekends or full week stints depending on projects and schedules. A few hours of work per day and pet sitting is all we ask during the week with occasional help with projects on Saturdays. AS a part of the farmstead we all share in basic household beautification and upkeep, grounds upkeep, gardening, animal/livestock care and optional organic meals with main house. Position is available immediately, and we have some flexibility with starting date. Need to have someone on board ASAP who's willing to make an 8-month to a year commitment.
