Responsibilities: Provide World Class Customer Service Supervise & Maintain Garden Center Motivate Personnel Insure Profitability of Nursery Requirements: Education; High School degree or equivalent. College or Business degree preferred. Experience; 5 years experience in the nursery or retail industry with sales experience. Skill, knowledge and abilities: Must have the ability to organize, direct, budget, control and manage service and installation activities. Applicant preferably has knowledge about Sales operations involved in the Nursery industry including but not limited to; planting, pruning and general plant care, plant identification and functionality, disease and insect identification and control. Physical; It is necessary that the Sales Manager be in good physical health. The abilities to lift in excess of 50 pounds, stand, sit, walk, dig, tolerate various weather conditions are necessary. Mental; Requires the ability to use basic mathematical skills. Reading, writing and the ability to communicate clear basic instructions to others is essential. Working conditions; Most work is performed outside. The ability to tolerate varying weather conditions is essential.
