Household of 30ish yr olds seeking a couple of responsible, dependable, friendly, respectful, and trustworthy roommates for some spare bedrooms in a finished basement of a 4+ bedroom house near the Truman Sports Complex. The place is close to major highways and within 10 minutes of downtown, Independence, Kansas City North, and Raytown. The house has a good size yard, plenty of parking, in a decent neighborhood, and has security lighting all the way around the house to cover all entrances. The finished basement is a fully self-sustaining unit similar to an apartment with its own bedrooms, kitchen, bath, living room, and entrance so you would never have to be on the main floor if you didn't want, but I'd have to be in the basement periodically to do laundry. There are a couple of 10x14 rooms available so rent on your own or bring a friend. Partially furnished available at no additional cost. Great for college students or others who don't have a lot of stuff accumulated already! Private room available for $300/m per person or share the room with another roommate of your same gender for $200/m per person. Major utilities such as gas, electric, water, sewer, and trash as well as additional amenities including basic cable, wireless internet, and laundry facilities are included for an additional 1/2 month rent per person ($100-$150/m). You may be able to work off some of the utilities cost if you don't mind some extra house chores and/or yard work. That means the right person could rent for at little as $200/m including utilities! Security deposit of 1/2 month rent. Total rent is only about 1/4th to 1/3rd of the typical total household bills in anticipation of a couple of roommates to fill the basement apartment. Prefer to start with a 3 month lease. Also, I don't mind small quiet pets like cats, but no dogs larger than the typical housecat and no noisy pets. No creepy, crawly type pets.
