Hello, We're looking for a new roommate because our 3rd roomy is moving out. If you know anyone or you yourself are looking for a place to live please contact me. The place will be available in July. Details: ~ It's a very nice and spacious 3 br 1 1/2 bath house (we have a extra bedroom which is basically another living room and storage). There is a kitchen, pantry, dining room, living room and several closets. The basement has more storage and a coin operated washer/dryer. We also have a good sized front porch. ~ It's a great location in Midtown (near the Uptown theater) and we're located really close to anything worth doing (Westport is walking distance!) The Plaza, Martinni Corner, P&L, the 39th street shopping eating area and anything else downtown are a short 10 min or less drive. ~ We're also near UMKC, Rockhurst, the Art Institute, Penn Valley, KU Med Center and several other schools. ~ I'll admit the neighborhood looks a little sketchy but neither myself or any of the neighbors have ever had any problems, and the buildings on our block are all very nice. The building has a security door and all of the doors on the house are sturdy with multiple locks. ~ Plenty of parking and I've never had a problem finding a spot. ~ Rent is very inexpensive at only $284 per person, other than rent the only other bills we're responsible for are electricity and cable/internet. Electric is running about $25 a person right now, cable/internet runs $30 a person. The landlord pays heat, water, garbage and sewage. ~ I keep the place very neat and clean and we have the common areas well furnished with couches, tv, etc. What we're looking for in a roommate: My roommate and myself are very easy going and get along with most personality types. About the only thing I'm opposed to is someone who is overly messy, you can of course do what you want in your room but I dont want the shared living areas to be horribly messy. If you're a little messy no problem, just no extreme slobs please. If you have pets we can discuss them. Any age, sex, etc is welcome to inquire but please remember that we are in our mid 20s and while we generally keep it pretty quiet (I work the standard mon-fri 9-6 schedule) there will be times where we have people over and/or have loud music playing. We are respectful so dont let that turn you away, but I would like to find someone who lives a somewhat similar lifestyle to my own. If you're interested please contact me and we can setup a meeting.
