I bought my house in 2005 and renovated it to my liking. It is a deceivingly large house and property (from the front) 3-4 blocks from the center of Trolley Square. It is half of a huge duplex that on the first floor goes four open rooms back then the back a patio and then a grass yard. The whole side of the property is a strip of land that includes goes all the was to the street and includes some off-street parking and access to the fire escape. Parking on the street isnt an issue normally. The first room is the living room with a wood burning stove, the a dining room, a 100% brand new and open kitchen, and my large master bedroom with full bathroom. The second floor stairwell is in the front room leading to a hallway with 5 rooms. The front room is a 15x15ft bedroom just like the backroom. In between are a small guest bedroom for guests and some extra clothes, a decent size full bathroom, and my small office where the fire escape is located. There is a gigantic semi-finished basement that clean and dry to store any extra stuff. The second bedroom is open for rent and ready any day now. The utilities are split between the inhabitants in the house: DirecTV w/every movie channel ($90), Electric ($200-$300), Deer Park water ($30), Internet (below $30), Water/Sewage ($120 every quarter), and possibly cleaning services every 3-5 weeks. Obviously split between 3 people is very low, especially for the size of the house. The reason why I’m keeping the rent low is I want someone who will fit in with the house seemlessly. The current tenant and my self are very laid back and easy to get along with.
