Looking for 2-3 young-hearted, friendly, responsible, cooperative, non-smoking people to share home in country setting. This unique, late 18th Century home is a haven for nature lovers and people who enjoy olde-fashioned living and community. Nothing fancy, it is humble and charming with rustic simplicity. Fresh air, peace, and the quiet of this natural environment promote rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, and a retreat from whatever ails you. Birds, wildlife, and wildflowers add to the beauty of everyday life. A large vegetable garden is new this year. (Suggestions are welcome.) Open to the possibility of a horse, goats, chickens, etc. if zoning permits, as there are 4+ acres. It would require group willingness and perhaps extra insurance, board, and/or security deposit/ converting a garage into a barn and fencing. I would love to have a horse of my own but would need help. The house has no obstructions to the sky making the rooms bright by day and star-lit by night. Sun and moon-rises and sets can be seen above the treetops. Trees and natural vegetation line the white seashell driveway and perimeter of the property offering plenty of parking and privacy. The interior has old latch doors and hardwood floors throughout. The large country kitchen has beams and pine board ceilings, granite counter tops, old white sink with drain board, glass fronted cabinets, dishwasher and gas stove. Washer and dryer are on the first floor, so no lugging heavy laundry up and down stairs. There is a second bathroom going in upstairs. Future expansion on back of house is in the planning stages. If you like the idea of sharing life with a few other down-to-earth congenial people, please come visit to see if this is for you. It's a place where you can let your hair down or raise the roof with music once in a while without bothering anybody. Bring your talent to express... cooking, gardening, crafting, building, painting, musical, artistic, acting, entertaining, singing, dancing, cleaning, decorating, organizing, hospitality, storytelling, fixing, farming, landscaping, animal husbandry, etc. all welcome. Anyone for croquet? How about a game of cribbage? Many board games available. One out-door trained cat resides on the premises with many neighboring cats. Rent ranges in price between $600-800/month depending on the room and number of people. First, last and security required. Availability: August 1 and September 1, 2009.
