Oversee and direct the assignments of multiple programmer/analysts I, II, and III to manage and assist the development, augmentation and maintenance of a fully-integrated administrative computing information system for Salt Lake Community College. Utilizing the most current methods of analysis, design, programming, installing, testing, debugging and documenting, to guarantee compliance with Federal and State regulations, and to most efficiently meet the needs of various user groups throughout the institution. Responsible for the Administrative Computing Department during the Director's absence Bachelors Degree in a related field, from a 4-year institution or technical school, and five years full-time paid experience managing programmer/analysts, preferably in a higher-education environment. Five years full-time experience working as software developer. Knowledge and experience managing a team of programmer/analysts, preferably in a Higher-Education environment. Knowledge and experience with, but not limited to, ORACLE, PL/SQL, SQL, Pro*C, and UNIX. Ability to appropriately articulate both verbally and in writing to all campus staff, students and faculty Knowledge and experience with Higher-Education administrative software, such as BANNER. Knowledge of and experience with system design and analysis leading toward the implementation of solutions to goals and objectives of functional end-users in an integrated administrative environment. Capability for problem resolution and user interaction in a manner conducive to effective implementation of software solutions. Knowledge of reporting requirements of State and Federal agencies, as they relate to the Utah System of Higher Education. Ability to create and augment documentation as it relates to designed solutions, processes and procedures. Knowledge and experience with Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, and Access. Knowledge of additional statistical programs, such as SPSS and SAS. Knowledge and experience with requirements set out by FERPA, GRAMA and GASB. Salt Lake Community College will perform a criminal background check on the selected finalist.
