BODIES…The Exhibition & Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition POSITION: Docent/Visitor Services Premier Exhibitions, Inc. is a fast-growing publicly traded company (NASDAQ: PRXI) in the business of developing and touring museum quality exhibitions. The company is currently seeking an “On Call Docent/Visitor Services”. As “on-call” we have no set hours for you to work. When availability opens up due to vacations, staff illness or peak season the candidate can choose to work available hours. This position is not for someone looking for steady income. It is great for medical student (on summer break) or a retiree. JOB DESCRIPTION: *Assigned to specific gallery/galleries. *Act as Management’s eyes and ears inside the galleries and report any incidents or issues that require immediate attention. *Answer all exhibition questions direct guests to the Interactive Touch Desk in the final gallery for more detailed information. *Assist guest’s special needs and act as first responder to any emergency situation, contacting Management and Security immediately. *Work to maintain the integrity of the exhibit. *Enforce Rules of the Gallery ( i.e. no touching, no photography, no cell phones, no food or drinks, no strollers, no large backpacks or coats, no elbows or resting on the exhibit cases, no reentry. *Answer all inquires from guests on the Exhibit. *Greet guest *Hand out audio guides *Traffic control *Customer service *Ticket Taker *Assist with customer service duties Ideal candidates are people with medical knowledge, such as nurses or students pursuing a career in medicine or other related fields. Qualified interns are also welcome who may be interested in working for school credits.
