Lab manager position with an environmental company providing testing for water quality. Manager responsible for overall guidance and leadership of the lab. Ensure that all aspects of the lab including technical operations, logistical operations, and customer relations are in conformance with the quality assurance plan. Lab manager is a working foreman responsible for jumping in to support operations when capacity is high. Lab manager serves as the pipeline of communication between the local lab and the corporate lab, deal with many issues, utilize corporate support when needed, follow corporate systems for all administrative, financial, marketing, customer service, and sales functions. Manager will ultimately become the expert in terms of supporting the local area that utilizes the facility for testing, know the local market and its customer and provide the ultimate handshake with the community.
