Position Summary: With minimal supervision, plans, develops and coordinates engineering projects for algae Pilot Production facility. Provides general engineering support for facility and assists operations and maintenance activities. Position Location: south of Durango, CO Responsibilities: •Provide system engineering and technical support to maximize plant reliability, efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. •Provide technical expertise and assistance in general engineering and maintenance processes. •Manage projects such as (but not limited to) wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and lift stations. •Work with technical staff to create and implement standard preventive and corrective maintenance procedures. •Back up the Plant Manager in that person’s absence. Required experience and skills: •Five to ten years related industry required. •Water and wastewater treatment •Project management and general management experience. •Knowledge of water chemistry. •Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and pump design. Required Education: •BS in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Environment/Physical Demands: •Physical requirements for this work includes but is not limited to climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, keyboarding, standing, kneeling, walking, sitting, and lifting.
