Our client is a world leader in the handling and conducting of clinical trials for the pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries Is looking for an energetic, motivated Sample Handling Manager for their Las Vegas Facility Duties: • Hire, train and manage sample collection and processing staff • Determine staffing needs • Responsible for scheduling of staff to ensure that all specimens are collected, processed, stored and shipped according to established SOPs. • Teach, lead and train supervisory technical staff to ensure that they are providing clear assignments and proper training to staff scheduled. • Comply with safety regulations established in the SOP’s and required by OSHA, FAA . • Quality Control of documentation. • Coordinate and manage sample packing and shipment/delivery. Requirements • At least 5 years management/supervisory experience in a laboratory/medical, research or similar setting. • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. • Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel and computerized clinical laboratory systems. • Flexible work schedules, able to work 10-12 hours shifts, evenings and regular weekends as needed. • Current CPR certification is required or must be obtained within first 2 weeks of employment.
