Hi, I found a place that's a really great deal, and I've built a nice little community of folks to share it with. A little about the apartment: The place is absolutely beautiful. It’s a huge 2-story home. Has 4 bedroom and 3 baths. Additional common areas include a large backyard, deck, 2 car garage, kitchen, large living and family room. There’s also a fireplace, dishwasher, washer/dryer and garbage disposal. The place gets amazing amounts of light. During the day, the whole place is very well lit without the need for having lights on. I’ve already asked, and if the house wants, we can turn a portion of the backyard into a garden. I’d also like to make a compost pile and an outdoor fire pit. The nice thing about this being a house versus an apartment, is that we can do things like that to make the place cozier and our own. The neighborhood is also very quiet. Landlord stuff: You'd be taking over the lease from one of our departing roommates. It runs till the end of July. Two of the four of us want to stay on for the year afterwards, but you wouldn't have to if you didn't want to. The landlord wants first, last, and security. That being said, we can space it out / break it up, and figure something out if you can't put all of that up front. We split everything 4 ways, so it's 500/month + 1/4 utilities as long as we keep all the bedrooms full. A little about me: My name is Angel. I'm a 27 year old teacher. I have one of those sense of humor where I'm not really trying to be funny, but people around me laugh. I'm into rock climbing, hiking (for the views), game nights, potlucks, and generally any excuse to get a good group of friends together (not necessarily at my house). I am deeply dedicated to my spiritual life. I'm interested in the part about starting a garden as I have a great deal of experience in this area and could be of great service in this regards. So, I'm 31, came to the seattle area to teach bhakti yoga and mantra meditation classes, am outgoing and social when engaged, open hearted and always willing to lend an ear or shoulder... not afraid of pitching in to keep things neat and tidy... ummm, let's see... House Stuff: [In an attempt to model the place after situations where I've seen this work before] We try to meet up once a week to catch up on each other's week, communicate concerns, issues, etc. We would alternate who cooks each time, so each of us would cook ~1 meal per month (or take out). And I'd like us to set up a chore wheel to keep the house looking good. My one exempting apartment criteria are my allergies. So I'm looking for a smoke/pet free apartment.
