General Functions Under the direction of the Systems Architect, this position designs, develops, and maintains computer applications software with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. This includes analyzing user needs, developing custom software, documenting systems, and training users. This position also supports, upgrades, and maintains third party software and provides custom report development, including needs analysis, report design, and development. Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities) •Researches available tools and technologies to provide innovative solutions to application problems. •Performs all aspects of analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of new systems. •Analyzes user needs and software requirements to develop technical specifications for software system development. •Develop and maintain web-based, database driven applications •Work with users to define requirements and develop applications, providing training, quality control, reporting, and evaluation as needed. •Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing software systems •Consults with and assists system analysts in troubleshooting and resolving problems with a variety of computer programs. Education and Experience •BA Degree with major course work in computer technology or programming or related areas •Five years experience in systems development and programming •Preferred experience with any of the following: C#, the MVC framework, jQuery and JavaScript. •Preferred two years experience in report development using SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Crystal Reports. •Experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 is a plus.
