Coordinates compliance with Federal, State and local SHE legislation along with all operating permits, record keeping and reporting requirements. Oversees the development and maintains SHE programs including but not limited to Company SHE Manual, MOC/PSM Programs, Drug Testing Program, Emergency Response Program, etc. Co-ordinates local SHE tasks (e.g. a regular program of inspections, evacuations, fire alarm drills, signposting, etc.) Identifies and recommends relevant SHE training for staff and ensure that the training is carried out (First Aid, CPR, Fire Extinguisher, Annual Physicals, etc.). Maintains required records such as MOC/PSM, Employee training, Safety Meeting summaries, MSHA and OSHA 300 logs, Accident/Incident Reports, MSDS files, Drill Logs, Audit Results, and Industrial Hygiene Surveys. Encourages a positive attitude to SHE issues, support Zero Is Attainable accident/incident programs and provide periodic communication to staff of individual or office achievements, SHE statistics, and important losses and gains related to SHE. Provides guidance on appropriate accident and incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis and follow-up action is taken. Ensure that proper reporting of accidents and incidents to management and government authorities is carried out in line with local regulations and within specified timeframes. Plans or co-ordinate periodical SHE audits if required and follow up of findings. May manage process laboratory, laboratory technician and/or oversees routine standardized testing.
