My sister and husband and 3 children were victims of a house fire last Wednesday. The landlord is less than helpful, only wanting his insurance payout for his slum rental with faulty wiring. They have rec'd very little support from organizations in the area---3 days of food and a 3 day voucher for a motel. I live in Denver and have tried calling around Louisville and searched online.....unfortunately it seems Louisville is weak in the area of assisting fire victims. They will be staying at my parents' small home in Valley Station until the find a new rental, but are in VERY BAD need of clothing for the children and themselves. They also need beds and furniture for a new place. If anyone call assist them, or know of definite resources, please respond. I am tearing my hair out trying to assist them from 1100 miles away! The 2 boys are ages 8 and 11. Both are in size 10-12. (The older boy is small for his age) Shoe sizes are 3 and 4 My sister is size 14 bottom and size 16 top.
